Armada House (Plymouth)


Conversion of a former bank premises into commercial space and 24 self contained apartments. The project comprised the complete stripping out, refurbishment and remodelling of a four storey city centre building to provide high quality office space on the ground floor and high quality residential accommodation on the three floors above.

The ground floor commercial space was commissioned by the Royal British Legion. Facilities included a new entrance, welcome area, various meeting rooms and office space, kitchenettes and bathrooms. Due to the nature of the building sound proofing was a key factor. Refurbishment included: new partitions, wall finishes, internal doors, glazed screens and partitions, floor finishes, ceiling systems, platform lift, new staircase, decoration, bathrooms, tea point and upgrading of services including complete Mechanical & Electrical design and installation.
