Market Way Public Realm

Market Way Public Realm scheme was undertaken in conjunction with Plymouth City Council, Highways England and Aspire Student Living on land adjoining 119 Mayflower Street in Plymouth city centre.

The project comprised of sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDs), innovative urban tree planting systems, extensive work rerouting underground services, installation of street lighting, extensive earthworks, bespoke stainless-steel handrails, hard and soft landscaping including raised planting areas, granite paving, steps and ramps; all built to adoptable standards.

Creative Construction worked closely with Plymouth City Council in developing the scheme to realise a higher than normal standard of finishing details to be used as a benchmark for future redevelopment of the City by the local authority and other developers.

Due to the location of the project along with the nature and phasing of the works, Creative Construction developed and organised various legal agreements between all parties including Section 278 agreements, TRO’s, TTRO’s and Section 50 and 171 licences.
